Vacuum / pressure process (autoclave)

An autoclave is a high pressure vessel where, with means of a vacuum process, wood is treated for fire resistance.

Flamefix INDOOR makes wood 100% biologically fireproof and therefore complies with fire class B-S2-D0, according to European standard NEN-EN 13501-1. Flamefix Indoor can be used indoors and outdoors. However, when used outside the wood, it will be necessary to treat it with a protective coating to prevent leaching. A maintenance schedule will be required.

Flamefix OUTDOOR makes wood 100% biologically fireproof and therefore complies with fire class B-S2-D0, according to European standard NEN-EN 13501-1. By adding a biological binder (according to OECD 301-A), the flame retardant is completely fixed. This prevents leaching of the flame retardant (according to EN16755).

For example, wind and weather have no influence on the fire-retardant properties of the product. That is why Flamefix Outdoor is also excellent for situations where maintenance is difficult or where you want to use wood without a coating (let it age).
